Cristiano Ronaldo Making History

On march 12th Cristiano Ronaldo made history once again by making a remarkable comeback against Athletico Madrid in the champions league round of 16. As Juventus were down 2-0 from the first leg Juventus had to play at home and play the prefect game and that is to score 3 goals and not concede once and that’s exactly what was done, you have to give the Juventus defense credit for their work but the performance by Athletico was poor, but that clean sheet means nothing without the 3 goals they needed. Cristiano scored in the 27th, 49th minute to equalize the series and in the 86th minute to take the lead and take his team to the next round and becoming the top hat trick scorer in the competition again.

Who Will Be The Next Best Player In The World?

As LeBron James is set to miss the playoffs for the first time after going to the NBA finals 8 consecutive times, it seems to the world that there will be a new best player by the end of this years NBA season. Top arguments are James Harden who is having an MVP year again, Kevin Durant who is current champion and finals MVP, Giannis Antetokounmpo who’s team has the best record in the league and having an MVP year, as well as other names such as Kawhi Leonard and Steph Curry are thrown in that conversation, but its all going to come down to who comes out on top of this years NBA playoffs and who puts on the best show.

Are The Warriors Still The Best Team In The NBA?

The quick answer for that question is yes absolutely, but the question has come up more than ever this year after the addition of Demarcus Cousins to the NBA champions. They have 4 top NBA talents on one team so it seems they are still figuring out how to get everyone involved and make it feel natural so everyone is comfortable. The Warriors proved to still be strongest team in the West this regular season by having the best record and just beating the Houston Rockets and the Oklahoma City Thunder without Kevin Durant who is known as one of the best players in the world. They still are the best team in the world, but the addition of Cousins has seemed to disturbed them a little.

Onto The Champions League Quarter Finals

The draw for the quarter finals of the champions league were announced on March the 16th. The surprising part is there is a lot of heavy sided matches but one and that’s the Spurs vs Manchester City, besides that game every game seems to have a favorite, Juventus vs Ajax has a favorite in Juventus even though Ajax did show they can play with the top teams by beating Real Madrid at home 4-1. Liverpool vs Porto has a huge favorite in Liverpool as Liverpool made it to the finals last year and is just miles ahead of Porto and they showed how good they are by beating Bayern Munich. The last draw was Manchester United vs FC Barcelona, Barcelona is huge favorites as Manchester made it out of the last round but barely playing poor but finishing a way to get the result they wanted, Barcelona has been playing great and Leo Messi is the leading top scorer for this champions league season.
